The South Whidbey Historical Society works hard to preserve and share our south end community’s unique history.

This year we resumed our normal summer and fall Museum hours, and the popular Saturday Langley History Walks.

We were able to staff the Brooks Hill Cabin, the McLeod cabin and the Ray Gabelein Antique Farm Equipment Barn for the Whidbey Area Fair this year, and volunteers raised funds through our nearby parking lot for the Fair.

Our Board continued to meet, first via zoom, and then in person with masking and social distancing.

  • Nearly 700 people visited our museum in Langley.
  • Langley History Walking Tours were limited to 10 people, but were nearly always full,
  • More than 3,450 people regularly followed our Facebook posts and videos and more than 7,000 people accessed our website.

We are looking forward to putting together some community presentation on local history. Please consider making a meaningful gift to the South Whidbey Historical Society via PayPal by clicking the link above.
