Irvin McDonald was one of nine boys and five girls born to Emily and Angus McDonald who settled in the Lone Lake area in 1928. Emily was born in Bohemia and Angus was Irish. The McDonald young people attended the Bayview school and Langley High School and the entire family took a lively part in community activities.
