SAVE THE DATE: Wednesday, FEBRUARY 21 at 7 p.m. at the Langley United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall for a historical talk: “Facts and Stories of the Raymond Gabelein Family.”

Several family members will focus on the path the Gabelein family took from Germany to Whidbey, the farm they had overlooking Useless Bay, and the role the Raymond Gabelein branch played in South Whidbey History including construction of the dike at Useless Bay, early farming and logging, development of the Island County Fairgrounds, etc.

There will be a narrator with slides, and other family members will join in with stories. There will also be a number of photographs, genealogy charts, and memorabilia on display.

This is a “Then and Now” presentation sponsored by the South Whidbey Historical Society. Free admission, but donations appreciated.
